“Соломна Агропостач” LLC, a member of the VITAGRO group and owned by Member of Parliament Serhiy Labazyuk, has declared its intention to construct a modern livestock complex in the village of Solomna, within the Volochysk urban hromada of the Khmelnytskyi region. This development was reported by Ekonomichna Pravda.
The new dairy farm is designed to house nearly 1300 head of cattle. The primary output will be milk, which will be cooled after milking and subsequently transported to processing facilities.
Construction is slated to take place on a plot of land measuring 5.1 hectares. Currently, the initiative is undergoing a public review phase for its environmental impact assessment (EIA) report, which commenced on January 13th and will conclude on February 16th, 2026, according to the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Khmelnytskyi Regional State Administration.
Earlier, at the close of 2025, VITAGRO group’s CEO Petro Labazyuk confirmed the launch of this venture in an interview with Latifundist.com, stating, “We have finalized the project design to increase our cattle population by 1,200 head, supplementing our existing herd of 5,500 dairy cows. We are currently procuring construction materials for the site and sourcing equipment. Construction is scheduled to commence in early November.”
The investment in the new farm is estimated to be around 500 million UAH. This project aims to further boost milk production and solidify the holding’s market standing in the dairy raw materials sector.
The VITAGRO group of companies is recognized as one of the leading agricultural holdings in the Khmelnytskyi region and western Ukraine. Presently, it maintains approximately 6,000 head of cattle, including over 2,700 lactating cows, and produces more than 70 tons of milk daily. The group is actively engaged in the development of dairy farming, pig breeding, crop production, and processing operations.
