In July 2026, Ukraine’s export of grain and leguminous crops experienced a substantial increase compared to the same period last year. As of July 31st, since the beginning of the 2026/27 marketing year (July-June), Ukraine has exported 2.601 million tons of grains and legumes, marking a 54.9% rise from July 2025, when the export volume was 1.679 million tons.

Export Breakdown by Crop

The total volume of exported grains, legumes, and flour reached 2.603 million tons – for comparison, last year this figure stood at 1.684 million tons. The most significant growth in export shipments was observed for wheat, corn, and barley.

  • Wheat exports totaled 1.059 million tons, a 42% increase year-on-year (744 thousand tons).
  • Corn shipments to foreign markets amounted to 1.244 million tons, nearly doubling last year’s figure of 627 thousand tons.
  • Barley exports were 294 thousand tons compared to 267 thousand tons in 2025.
  • Rye, similar to the previous season, was not exported.

Significance of Indicators for the Agrarian Sector

The considerable growth in exports signifies the stable performance of the agrarian sector and a high demand for Ukrainian grain in global markets. These outcomes could positively influence foreign currency inflows and the further development of grain production within the country.
