Зміни в часі посіву здатні позначитися на процесі збору врожаю та фінансових потоках.

Every planting campaign undertaken during martial law becomes increasingly arduous for agricultural producers. This year, in addition to the military circumstances, climatic conditions have significantly impacted operations, leading to a sowing period that extended by 10-14 days beyond the average timelines.

This was communicated by Pavlo Koval, the CEO of the All-Ukrainian Public Organization “Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation” (UAC), during an interview on Ukrainian Radio.

“The alteration in sowing schedules may subsequently affect the harvesting season and the inflow of liquidity. The timing of our harvests, sales, contract fulfillment, and the arrival of foreign currency earnings are crucial,” stated Pavlo Koval.

He further elaborated that the economic reserves and stability of agricultural enterprises are diminishing due to the increased costs of material and technical resources, as prices for mineral fertilizers, fuel, and plant protection products have surged more than ever this year. Furthermore, logistical challenges, persistent shelling, and infrastructural damage all impose burdens on agricultural producers, particularly medium-sized and small ones who lack substantial financial buffers.
